HERE I AM, USE ME. Is this the cry of your heart? The Potter is seeking the whole earth for those whose hearts are right toward Him. Your heart’s desire matters and God knows if your words line up with your heart. Do you want to be used by the Lord? I need to warn you though, there’s a huge difference between “Use me Lord for your purposes” and “I want to be heard for my own purposes”. Examine your heart.
“All the ways of man are pure in his own eyes”.
Motives matter. Do you want the Lord to use you, or do you need to be heard? He is the Potter, you are the clay. Are you so important that your testimony needs to be heard above all others? Do you think more highly of yourself than you ought? Have you deceived yourself into thinking you have more knowledge than others? Therefore you must be heard? Do you want the spotlight or the accolades from man? THIS IS PRIDE. You better check your ego at the door brother. This isn’t the cry of a heart after God- it’s the heart after itself.
“Everyone proud and arrogant in heart is disgusting, hateful, and exceedingly offensive to the Lord; be assured they will not go unpunished.” Proverbs 16:5
Let that Scripture sink into your soul.
God commands humility from His servants, otherwise you are not a servant but your own master. If your desire is to be used, God will use you for HIS purposes, in HIS way and in HIS time. Wait for the Lord! He is the Potter, you are the clay. He can do with the clay whatsoever He wants. BUT, a bully will never succeed in the Kingdom; you’ll fall down hard and blame others for your destruction. God is looking for a few faithful men and women to labor for Him. Come to the place where your heart’s cry is truly, “Here I am, send me”.
