Who We Are

TITLE- Who We Are Col 1:18

• I got saved when I was 15 years old. God told me I was going to be a pastor. This is why I never did drugs, alcohol, partying, or had sex with anyone before marriage.
• God told me to pioneer a church. I love his church. I love him. I love him more than I love you. I love you so that you will love him, not so you will love me. Jesus changed me.
• I need to preach a message that lets you know what this church is about- Handful of people have left- I don’t want there to be any questions about what this church is about
• This will be online. There are extra scriptures. PLEASE go study them. REFER BACK TO THIS
• If ANY of this changes- I will let you know- There are OTHER things- but these are BIG THINGS

• This is a church that Jesus is the supreme leader
• I am not the supreme leader Jesus is. his church. His wants are our wants. We do what he wants
• Colossians 1:18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence
• Eph 5:23b Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body..
• I am the Senior pastor- Senior earthly leader, but I am an undershepherd to the great shepherd. I do what he says. I follow his lead. We go by the WORD and the SPIRIT- What HE wants
• 1 Cor 11:3-10, Eph 4:15, Eph 1:22-23, Romans 12:4-5, 1 Cor 12:12-31,

• This is a church that Believes in the whole Word of God
• 2 Timothy 3:16  All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
• If its in there- we believe it- even if the world calls it hate speech and we look weird.
• Rom 15:4, Heb 4:12, 1 Peter 1:19-21, Mark 12:24, Psa 119:19, 21 Tim 4:2

• This is a church that will preach the whole counsel of God
• Acts 20: 26 Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent[e] of the blood of all men. 27 For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God. 28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
• Grace, mercy, love, unity, wrath, damnation, service, history, money, sin, doctrine, etc
• 1 thes 2:4, Galatians 1:7-10, 2 cor 4:2, 2 tim 2:15, 1 Thes 2:4,

• This is a church that believes in Pastors
• Hebrews 13:17 Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.
• Pastors are biblical. Giving a pastor a wage is biblical. Authority and respect is biblical.
• I’m not above correction. But RESPECT I am available. You have my phone, email, address,
• I am submitted to other pastors, Burch, Butcher, Ong etc. I listen to those men (Honor)
• Jer 3:15, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-5, James 3:1, Eph 4:11, 1 Cor 9:14, Acts 20:28, 1 Tim 3:1-7,

• This is a church that believes in Grace
• Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
• Grace means- Jesus died on the cross for your sins- you accept it, you don’t earn it through your actions. We do not believe that we work FOR our salvation. We work OUT our salvation
• Rom 3:23. Eph 2:5, John 1:12, Acts 15:11, Isa 64:6, Romans 7:18, Romans 10:9,

• This is a Church that is part of the Global Body of Christ of those who are in truth
• Romans 12:5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
• Faith and Victory Isn’t the only church- we are part of the Global church.
• This is why I pour into pastors, run the auburn meeting, help other pastors. I BELIEVE
• 1 Cor 10:16, 1 Cor 12:12, 27, Eph 3:6, Eph 4:12, Col 1:24

• This is a church that believes in Church
• 1 Tim 3:15  if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
• Buildings are not important- But what the church does in them is. LIVES CHANGED HERE
• Bible is for the church, Church is for Jesus, The Church is his Body, we are his body,
• 1 pet2:5, Eph 2:20-22, 1 Cor 3:9, Mt 16:18, Col 1:24, Heb 10:24-25, Acts 2:47, Col 1:18, 1 cor 12:13, Heb 3:6, Acts 20:28

• This is a church that wants to see people turn from their sins and be saved.
• Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
• 1 Timothy 5:20 Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear.
• This is a church that wants to keep people from sin so they wont fall away
• Sin ruins lives. The wages of sin is death. I will preach against sin until I die.
• I’ve seen the effects of it. Its horrible. It destroys. People who have dealt with a sin never get tired of hearing about it- they want others to be delivered.
• 1 Tim 1:15-16, Acts 3:19, Luke 15:10, Luke 15:7, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Cor 6:9-11, Acts 26:18-20

• This is a church that will preach the Gospel
• 2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
• THIS is our message- THIS is our call- THIS is what we preach. Why? FOR HIM- HIS GLORY
• 1 pet 3:18, 2 peter 2:24, 1 Jn 3:5, Ro 5:19, 1 Cor 1:30, Phil 3:9, Isa 53, 1 Tim 1:15, Mark 2:17, Luke 19:10, John 12:47, John 1:12, 1 John 4:9-10

• This is a church that will preach with conviction
• Col 1:28-29 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.
• If you feel it a little bit while you’re here- Good. I want to grow- Ps Chris on Wed, grew me
• If you don’t want to grow and be challenged, you will not like this church.
• I will emphatically preach the truths of the Bible to you because I want you to feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit. I am very emphatic. This is my personality. This is who I am.

This is a church that doesn’t tolerate sin

• Churches that tolerate sin end up in destruction. Attitudes and actions. Matt 18 process
• I don’t tolerate sin in myself, my wife, my kids, why my church? Jesus is going to judge us
• 2 Thes 3:14, 1 Cor 5:11, Titus 3:10, 2 Thes 3:6, 1 Cor 5, Matthew 18:15-20, Romans 16:17, 2 John 1:10, Eph 5:3-7

• This is a church that will disciple people
• Matt 28: 19-20
• Its not enough to get someone saved- they need to be a follower who makes followers.
• Luke 14:27, 2 Tim 2:2, Eph 4:11-17, Acts 2:42, John 8:31-32, Luke 6:40, Luke 14:26, Titus 2:1-8, John 15:8

• This is a church that will never change the message
• Acts 4:12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
• Jesus is the only way- No other religion, no other man, No other option. Jesus is the Door
• John 14:6, John 3:36, 1 John 5:11-12, Acts 10:42-43, 1 Tim 2:5-6, Mark 16:16,

• This is a church that will attack wrong theology
• Titus 1:9 9 holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.
• There is an assault church in America, Antinominism, Humanism, Gnosticism, Socialism, Capitalism. Prosperity, SocJust We have to speak against these cancers that infiltrate the church
• 2 cor 11:13-14, rev 22:18-19, 2 Tim 3:16, Gal 1:8-9, 1 Tim 6:3-4, Titus 2:1, phil 1:17

• This is a church that wants you to die to self
• Mark 8:35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
• This is not about you its about HIM and HIS Glory- You die to yourself and live for HIM
• We do not cater to the individual here. We die to self for HIS glory so MORE will praise HIM
• Gal 2:20, Luke 9:23, Gal 5:24, John 12:24, 1 Cor 15:31, Romans 12:1, Col 3:3, Mt 16:24, Rom 6:3
• 
  This is a church that will worship God vertically
• Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
• Most of our songs will be TO God and ABOUT God- Not about You or to you- This isn’t for you
• Exodus 20:3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.
• Worship of self is the greatest danger in the Christian Church. Some songs must die.
• Psa 95:6, Isa 12:5, John 4:24, Psa 29:2, psa 95:1-6, 1 Chron 16:29, Luke 4:8

• This is a church that believes in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit
• 1 cor 12:1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:
• Tongues, prophecy, interpretation, words of knowledge, healing, manifestations
• 1 Cor 12, Rom 10:6-8, 1 cor 14, Acts 2,

• This is a church that helps other churches
• Acts 15:41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
• People we know and don’t know and people we meet. I don’t herald it. Pakistan we do it
• Romans 16:16, 16:4, 1 Cor 7:17, 1 Cor 11:16, 1 Cor 16:1,

This is a church that does missions

• Luke 24:47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
• We believe in Going and building and preaching. We spend money on missions
• We send- we go- we try- we succeed and we have challenges- even paul had bad journeys
• Psa 96:3, Romans 10:13-15, Acts 13:47, Acts 1:8, 1 Chron 16:24, Mark 16:15

• This is a church that believes in tithing, offerings, and sacrificial giving
• Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
• 1 Corinthians 16:1 [ Collection for the Saints ] Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also:
• Jesus used money in ministry- we use money in ministry. Gospel is free, the means aren’t.
• Lk 6:38, Acs 20:35, Mk12:41-44,Mt 6:1-4, Mal 3, Pr 3:9-10, 1tim 6:17-19, Dt 8:18, 1 Cor 16:2, Heb 13:16, Ro 12:13, 1 Cr 16:1–4; 2 Cr 8:1–9:15; Rom 15:14–32

• This is a church that believes in Serving
• 1 Peter 4:10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
• We serve because he served us. We all have a place where we serve in OUR church.
• Ephesians 4:11-13, 1 cor 4:1-2, Mark 10:45, heb 6:10, Luke 12:42, Eph 6:7, Rom 12:11,Rom 12:1, mark 9:35,

• This is a church that will love people
•  John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

• This is a church preparing for Christ’s return
• Eph 5:27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
• We live with an expectation of Christs return. We know he is coming back soon. LIVE LIKE IT
• Rev 22:12,1 Thes 5:2, 1 Thes, 4:16, Heb 9:28, Matt 24:36, 2 Peter 3:10, Romans 2:6-8
