Monday, June 8th-The Work Is Great
Seeing God’s Vision and Calling for the Work
Summary
The work is great because it is not for man but for the Lord God. The same is true for every believer today. Whether serving in ministry, raising a family, discipling someone, praying, giving, or simply remaining faithful through a difficult season, the work is great because it belongs to God. We often become discouraged when we focus on the size of the challenge instead of the worthiness of the Lord. The church did not build itself. It took time. Great works are built through faithful investment over time. When God looks at a life surrendered to Him, He is not simply evaluating results. He is looking at faithfulness. The work is great, but it is worth it because it is for Him. As believers, it is easy to become distracted by immediate difficulties. Yet God repeatedly calls His people to remember why they are doing what they are doing. It is for the Lord. The work is bigger than us, but God never intended us to carry it alone. What He calls us to do, He supplies grace to accomplish. Every act of obedience matters because every act of obedience is ultimately done for Him.

Tuesday, June 9th-We Believed
Learning to Believe God Before We See the Outcome
Summary
Every great work of God begins with someone believing His promise before they ever see the result. Long before there were buildings, ministries, missionaries, and testimonies, there was faith. There were challenges, setbacks, losses, and obstacles. Yet the people of God continued believing. They kept meeting. They kept praying. They kept serving. They kept trusting God. Faith does not mean the absence of difficulties. Faith means continuing to trust God in the middle of difficulties. The challenge comes when prayers seem delayed and answers seem distant. That is where genuine faith is developed. Faith is not simply believing God can do something. Faith is believing God remains good and faithful even when the outcome has not yet appeared. The work was bigger than the people involved. Vision came before resources. Calling came before provision. God often works that way. He invites His people to trust Him before they see the entire plan. There are seasons where relationships are difficult, finances are tight, prayers seem unanswered, and progress feels slow. Yet God never called His people to walk by sight. He called them to walk by faith. Looking back over the years, every testimony of God’s faithfulness started with someone believing before they could see. The same God who was faithful yesterday remains faithful today.

Wednesday, June 10th-The Cost of Love
Why Every Great Work Requires Sacrifice
Summary
Love always sacrifices. That truth was at the center of this portion of the sermon. The church was built through people who loved God enough to give their time, energy, resources, talents, and effort. Every ministry, every outreach, every service, every event, every conversation, and every act of service came with a cost. Sacrifice is the evidence of affection. What we truly love, we willingly invest in. Genuine Christianity has always involved sacrifice. Following Jesus costs something. It requires surrendering personal preferences, comfort, convenience, and sometimes even opportunities. Yet sacrifice is never wasted when it is offered to the Lord. Every unseen act of service matters. Every prayer matters. Every act of generosity matters. Every moment spent serving God’s kingdom matters. Jesus Himself demonstrated this through His own sacrifice. Because He gave everything for us, we are called to offer ourselves back to Him. The goal is not earning God’s favor. The goal is responding to His love. Sacrifice does not prove our worth. It reveals our devotion. The cost may be real, but the reward of seeing God work through surrendered lives is worth every sacrifice made for His glory.

Thursday, June 11th-Here Am I, Send Me
Living a Consecrated Life for God’s Purposes
Summary
“Who then is willing to consecrate himself this day to the Lord?” This question goes beyond giving. It reaches into the heart. Consecration is not primarily about offering something we possess. It is offering ourselves. A donation says, “Here’s what I have.” Consecration says, “Here I am. Use me as You will.” This is where many of us encounter a challenge. It is often easier to give money, time, or effort than it is to surrender complete control. Consecration requires trust. It means laying personal ambitions, plans, preferences, and dreams before God. It means saying yes to His purposes even when they stretch us beyond our comfort zones. The kingdom of God has always advanced through willing people. Men and women who were willing to be used by God accomplished far more than those who simply admired the work from a distance. The greatest resource of the church has never been money. It has been people. Consecrated people. Faithful people. Available people. People willing to answer God’s call. The Lord is still asking that same question today. Not because He needs our abilities, but because He desires our hearts. The work remains great. The question remains the same. Who is willing?

Friday, June 12th-The Joy of Building for the Lord
Rejoicing in What God Has Done
Summary
The people rejoiced because they recognized what God had done among them. Their joy was not rooted in possessions, accomplishments, or recognition. Their joy was rooted in God’s faithfulness. They had seen His hand at work. As a result, praise naturally followed. The same principle applies today. Christians have every reason to rejoice. Jesus has forgiven sins, transformed lives, restored relationships, answered prayers, and given eternal hope. These are not small things. They are evidence of God’s grace. Gratitude should produce worship. When people remember what God has done, rejoicing becomes a natural response. True joy is not dependent upon circumstances. It is anchored in God’s character and His faithfulness. There will be difficult seasons. There will be challenges. Yet believers can rejoice because Christ remains on the throne. The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad. Worship is not merely something we do on Sunday. It is the daily response of hearts that recognize God’s goodness.

One of the greatest dangers in the Christian life is forgetting. It is possible to experience God’s blessings and eventually lose sight of the God who provided them. Every provision, every victory, every breakthrough, and every blessing ultimately came from His hand. Gratitude keeps believers humble. When people forget God’s goodness, pride often takes its place. We begin to think more about our accomplishments than His grace. Remember where He found you. Remember what He delivered you from. Remember how He provided. Remember how He answered prayer. Remember how He sustained you during difficult seasons. This is a good opportunity to prepare the heart. Sunday worship should never be routine. Gathering with God’s people is an opportunity to celebrate His faithfulness together. Coming prepared begins before arriving at church. It begins with remembering God’s goodness, examining the heart, and cultivating gratitude. The Lord built the house. The Lord sustained the work. The Lord deserves our praise.

Everything came from Him. Everything belonged to Him. Everything existed for His glory. This perspective protects believers from pride and keeps the focus where it belongs. The church belongs to God. The ministry belongs to God. The victories belong to God. The resources belong to God. Even the ability to serve Him comes from His grace. We are stewards of what He has placed into our hands. One generation carries the torch and then passes it to the next. The goal is not to build a name for ourselves. The goal is to glorify Christ. Come today expecting Him to work. Come ready to worship. Come ready to hear His Word. Come ready to encourage others. As you enter the service, remember the testimony of this sermon: The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad. The work is great because it is for the Lord. And because it is for the Lord, all the glory belongs to Him.
