We Believe The Whole Gospel

We believe the Whole Gospel 2 Cor 5:21, John 3:16, Romans 5:8, 

• I want whats promised to me. Annv. Table to table. If a preacher promises that what he preaches to you will get you to heaven, that’s a huge deal not to be taken lightly. 
• Salvation is Grace through faith. Nothing else. Jesus did it all. You can’t work your way to H
• You don’t want to hear “away from me” you want to hear “enter into the joy of the Lord”
• We believe in the Full Gospel here. There’s lots of false Gospels you cant be led astray
• The Gospel of Marcionism Reject the OT, believe God changes, that whole bible doesn’t matter
• The Gospel of Gnosticism: Secret knowledge/spiritual elitism, denial of incarnation, “spiritual”
• The Gospel of  Antinomianism: Grace means no repentance, no holiness, or no obedience. 
• The Gospel of Determinism: Everything! Sin, salvation, actions, births, etc pre-scripted.
• Moralistic Therapeutic Deism (MTD) be nice, feel good, heaven is for the generally decent
• The Prosperity Gospel: Jesus died to make you healthly, wealthy, successful. “have more faith”
• Progressive Christianity / Universalism: Denies, sin, judgment,exclusivity, All roads to God
• Legalism (Judaizing Gospel) Saved by Jesus PLUS your performance, works, effort
• The Self-Help Gospel: JC came to improve your life, not crucify your flesh
• We also reject the get me off drugs gospel, the fix my marriage, find me a spouse, give me some friends, stop my pain, give me purpose, find my destiny, give me a job, make me happy Gospel. 
• These are the FRUITS of the Gospel, not the POINT of the Gospel! Benefits are not Purposes. 

• The Whole Gospel: Jesus came, lived, died, rose, reigns and calls us to repent, believe, be baptized, be filled with the Spirit, and live holy, surrendered lives until He returns.

• Key Verse: 2 Corinthians 5:21 – For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

• 1. We believe in the whole gospel of the Incarnation (God came to us)
• The gospel begins with God coming to us  not waiting for us to climb to Him. Jesus, fully God and fully man, stepped into our world and lived a sinless life, for US to come to HIM
• The Incarnation: the eternal Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, took on human nature and became fully man without ceasing to be fully God, in the person of Jesus Christ.
• Jesus was and is God. The gospel doesn’t start at the cross it starts with the Word made flesh. 
• If Jesus isn’t and wasn’t God he can’t save us from our sin, heal us, or dwell within us. 
• John 1:14  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…
• Philippians 2:6-7  …being in the form of God… He made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

• Colossians 2:9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

• One of the earliest and greatest heresies of the early church was Arianism: Jesus was not God, but rather a created being  higher than humans, but less than God. We believe Jesus is God

• The Atonement Would Be Insufficient: Only God can bear the full weight of the worlds sin
• Only an infinite God can offer an infinite atonement. Forgiveness w.o limits
• The Resurrection Would Be a Lie Jesus said He Himself would rise from the dead (John 2:19).
• He Could Not Have Lived a Sinless Life: Gospel depends on sinless substitute for sin. 

• He Could Not Be the Object of Our Worship: If not God, worship would be idolatry

• He Could Not Be the Mediator Between God and Man: only hypostatic can bridge gap

• The New Covenant Would Have No Authority: New covenant in his blood, ONLY GOD

• Jesus: Fully God and Fully man. Hypostatic union, only mediator between God and man
• I am rare in that I’ve saved 2 people from drowning w no training- didn’t tell them to swim

THIS IS PART OF THE WHOLE GOSPEL

• 2. We believe in the gospel of Substitution and Atonement (God paid it all for us)
• At the cross, Jesus didn’t just suffer He became sin for us. He took our guilt, bore our shame, and satisfied the justice of God. 
• 2 Corinthians 5:21 is the foundation: “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us…”
  John 3:16 declares this act was driven by love. Romans 5:8 proves it: Christ died for us.
• The cross wasn’t a tragedy it was a transaction. Jesus became sin for us, so we could be forgiven of our sins.
• The substitution: He died on our behalf so we wouldn’t be destroyed because of our sin Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul who sins shall die. (if you sin, you die. Period)
• The atonement: He paid the purchase price for our redemption by his blood
• Leviticus 17:11 it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.
• We believe that Jesus was the Substitution for our death and atonement (payment) for our sin
• Imagine you’re on death row. The sentence is final. Then, out of nowhere, a man you don’t know steps in and says, “I’ll take the punishment. Let him go free.” That’s not just compassion. That’s substitution. And that’s exactly what Jesus did for you and I at the cross.

• Why couldn’t God just forgive without a sacrifice? Because a holy God cannot overlook sin He must deal with it. The cross shows that sin is worse than we thought, and God’s love is greater than we imagined. He didn’t sweep our sin under the rug. He placed it on His Son.

• This means every sin in your entire life can be forgiven. This means you will not be destroyed because of your sin. This means you are fully forgiven. Fully free. Fully redeemed. Made new
• 2 Cor 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

• 3. We believe in the whole gospel of Resurrection and Victory (God gives us life and victory)
• Jesus didn’t stay in the grave. He rose bodily, conquering sin, death, and hell. This victory is our hope. He paid for our sin, stood in our place to save us, rose from the grave and lives forever!
• We believe Jesus died on a cross, went into a tomb, and rose himself from the dead. 
• Romans 5:8 shows that death wasn’t defeat it was deliverance from Death- WE LIVE NOW
• John 3:16 offers eternal life because He conquered death. Not just FUTURE but RIGHT NOW
• The resurrection proves the gospel works it’s not just forgiveness, it’s power.
• John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”
• Romans 6:4 …just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
• This resurrection displays that not only can our lives right now be ‘resurrected’ and be given new life but upon our death we will eventually be ‘resurrected’ into a new glorified body
• Ps John needed a new heart. Old heart was dead, given a new heart “resurrected” now VICTORY
• THIS IS PART OF THE WHOLE GOSPEL you were dead in your sins, but the cross revives and gives power. You’re not a victim, you’re a victor. You experience life and power NOW

• 4. We believe in the whole gospel of Lordship and Ascension (follow him in life to heaven)
• Jesus isn’t just Savior  He is Lord. He ascended to heaven and reigns now. The gospel demands more than belief it calls for allegiance. He went to heaven, we live for him until we do
• We are not a church that believes in a decision that doesn’t equal a life of allegiance. 
• John 3:16 says “whoever believes in Him”  but believing means obeying what Jesus taught
• 2 Cor 5:21 doesn’t just cleanse us it clothes us in righteousness, fit for the King’s service.
• We don’t just accept Jesus. We submit to Him. He saves us so we can follow him. 
• Lu 9:23 If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me Matt 10:38–39 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
• Jesus came to us, saved us, empowered us, and ascended to heaven to ‘prepare a place for us’
• That freedom from sin did not give us freedom to sin. The whole Gospel means your whole life
• We live lives that reflect that God has set us free, so Because Jesus is our lord we follow. 
• John 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.
• 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

• Luke 6:46 – But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?

• We are church that does our best to live out what Jesus told us to do. 

• Jesus told us to repent, believe the gospel, be born again, deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him. To love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. To forgive those who sin against us, bless those who curse us, pray for those who persecute us, and do good to those who hate us. To go the second mile, turn the other cheek, give to the poor, and store up treasures in heaven. To not worry about tomorrow, seek first the Kingdom of God, and not lay up treasure on earth. To keep our word, guard our hearts, watch and pray, remain in Him, and abide in His love. To be humble like a child, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, and beware of false teachers. To make disciples of all nations, baptize them, teach them to obey all He commanded, and proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth. To take communion in remembrance of Him, wash one another’s feet, and love one another as He has loved us. To stay awake, be ready, and endure to the end, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour we do not expect.
• When you agree to be a Christian, you agree to live differently. (sbux walk out-you signed up!)

THAT’S PART OF THE WHOLE GOSPEL

• 5. We believe in the whole gospel of Repentance, Faith, Baptism, and the Spirit
  The gospel calls for a response: repent, believe, be baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit.
• We don’t single out one verse and ignore the rest of the word of God. We do it all. 
• You turn from your sin in your belief. You must leave your sin to come to Christ. He rescues you
• People say “that’s your own power” no- Coming to Christ’s power is what pulls me from my sin
• I was drowning in a lake of disgust and destruction and Christ extended his hand. I took it. 
• It doesn’t negate the power of the Cross. It illuminates it! 
• Even the thief on the cross said BEFORE Jesus assured him- “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” He CONFESSED Christ and Christ assured him of his salvation! 
• John 3:16 says “whoever believes” that belief is life-altering. But you must believe
• Romans 5:8 shows God loved us in our sin, but the gospel calls us out of it.
• 2 Cor 5:21 says we are made righteous that begins with repentance and continues with sanctification.
• The God of Scripture calls men to repentance because they are truly responsible, not pre-scripted. God is Sovereign overall- but its clear he uses our freewill in creation. Very clear
• If determinism is true Then God created Satan, knowing and causing his fall, then created a world, knowing it would be ruined by sin, ordained people to hell, without giving them real choice. And He planned the suffering of billions, all while already knowing who ends up in heaven with people powerless to overcome it. Held accountable with no power to overcome. 
• Why go through all of this? Why not just populate heaven from the start and skip the centuries of pain, rebellion, war, abuse, cancer, and damnation? Why play this cosmic game?
• If the end is predetermined, the process feels cruel rather than redemptive. Sin is cruel. 
• Love requires choice. Programmed worship isn’t love; it’s robotics.
• It makes evil part of God’s direct design  Not just allowed, but willed  which is incompatible with His holy character.
• God created beings with real will because He desires real love, real repentance, and real relationship. Heaven is populated with those who chose Him freely, not those coerced or predestined apart from will.

• Deut 30:19 says choose life. Josh 24:15 urges us to choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve. Isaiah 55:6 calls us to seek the Lord while He may be found. Matt 11:28 invites us to come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden. John 1:12 says to receive Him and believe in His name. Reven 3:20 says to hear My voice and open the door. Acts 2:38 commands us to repent and be baptized. Acts 17:30 declares that all people everywhere must repent. John 7:37 calls, come to Me and drink. Joel 2:12 pleads, turn to Me with all your heart.

• We believe we must be fully baptized in water and baptized with the Holy Spirit. 
• Baptism doesn’t save you- but it defines you. Holy Spirit empowers you! Must be filled

THIS IS PART OF THE WHOLE GOSPEL

• 6. We believe in the full gospel of Transformation and Eternal Life
  The gospel is not just a moment  it’s a miracle. We are born again, made new, adopted, empowered, and promised eternal life.
• We believe that the believer in Jesus is made into a new creation. The old is gone made new. 
• We believe that the Gospel doesn’t just save you- it changes you. 
• John 3:16 ends with “should not perish but have everlasting life.”2 Cor 5:21 says we become the righteousness of God not just better people, but new creations. Romans 5:8 proves that this transformation starts while we’re still broken.
  This is not just about getting to heaven  it’s about becoming like Jesus.
• We believe in the whole Gospel and that means the whole person can be redeemed.
• Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
• This transformed person leads to transformed life that infiltrates every aspect of our life and practice. We Don’t follow Jesus to have a changed life, but when we follow Jesus our lives are changed. He completely saves us, transforms us, and empowers us to live for him
• This is the abundant life that Jesus promises. One that overcomes the world, transforms the mind and body, changes relationships, causes us to walk in newness of life and victory over sin and this world. Life, relationships, a daily walk with him every day. Not false assurance. 
• So you have to ask yourself- Do I believe in a false Gospel? Have I missed what Jesus wants from me? Will I end up at the end, and him my ticket and be told that its counterfeit
• Today- put your full faith and assurance in the death, burial and resurrection for your sins.
• This is not a new gospel this is the ancient faith, handed down through the apostles, and still saving souls today.  Know your Bible. Know your salvation. Walk in newness of life.
