THERE ARE TWO REVELATIONS that have given me so much freedom in my life: this world is not my home and I am not my own. These two things have set me free to live fully for Christ and not for myself. I have been set free to be who He called me to be, to go where He calls, to speak what He tells me to speak and to do what He tells me to do.
I am free to experience ALL of Him, all His best and all His abundance because I have put to death all of me. I live with a constant remembering that I was purchased with His blood. I am no longer my own, but I am His child. If you don’t live reminding yourself of this, you will continue down the road of destruction. Blazing your own path, going your own way, will destroy you. I am free to live for Him! He knows what is best for me and I trust His ways.
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20
I have freedom from fear and rejection because this world is not my home. I’m just a pilgrim passing through. I have a heavenly home where a place has been prepared for me. There is no trial, no struggle, no affliction, no sickness that can hinder me. I have no ties to this world, I am a servant and daughter of the Most High. I’m here on His errand, to do His work, His will, His way. The outcome and consequences lie on Him.
I have no approval need, He gets the glory because my life is His. This truth became a revelation in my soul during Covid. The way the state that I live in handled it, locking everything down for two years, pushing on its citizens a shot and vilifying those who refused to comply; and the liberal sexual agenda in our area that is so wicked, evil and demonic, bring a revelation to my heart that I truly do not belong here. Living in such a wicked area only reveals to me how much I don’t fit in. If I lived in a different area, I might never have had this revelation in a greater measure. I have a firmer understanding of the truth of Jesus’ kingdom:
“Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”” John 18:36
“For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come.” Hebrews 13:14
“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” Philippians 3:20
Do I walk in this knowledge everyday? No. But I continually encourage myself in these things, renew my mind to His Word and put these things into practice so that my freedom walk gets easier and lighter as the days go by. Have you experienced this kind of freedom yet? It’s available for you today. Renew your mind to His Word: this world is not my home.
