GOD HATES DIVISION. Yes, there are things the Lord abhors, read your Bible. Division is and always has been a tool of the enemy- divide and conquer. We are stronger together and the devil knows if he can pick off the sheep one by one, he can destroy the whole flock. Satan will use discontent and fan it out to stir up more discontent like a whirlwind leaving behind chaos and destruction. Beware of anyone sowing seeds of discontent; they are divisive and being used by the enemy to destroy. Here’s a good description of the divisive, “A divisive person intentionally, actively, and repeatedly rubs raw the resentments of people within a community, fans the latent hostilities of many people, searchs out controversy and issues rather than avoiding them, and stirs up dissatisfaction and discontent.”
Instead of seeking peace, the divisive fan the flames of your discontent and will LOOK FOR WAYS to introduce their accusations so that you will take on their offense.
You find these scoffers in any community, job, or organization, and especially the church as wolves are attracted to sheep. Division can take on multiple faces. Since God is not the author of confusion, then sowing seeds of doubt in others is sowing division and confusion. Words are seeds. If you introduce doubt into a brother or sister, causing them to stumble or even look at others with a suspicious eye; you are a divisive man. Shame on you. If you don’t like something, keep it to yourself.
If you are offended at something, keep it to yourself. If you are bitter about something, then keep it to yourself. Be warned. If you do not work these things out of you, they will defile you. Esau was destroyed because of a root of bitterness. If you refuse to seek reconciliation, then you are a divisive person. If you refuse to talk to others about your issue with them, and then proceed to talk to another person about your issue and not that person with whom you have the issue; then you are a divisive person.
The enemy is seeking whom he may devour and he is not playing around; his time is short. Be on high alert and guard against the divisive, “Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned.” Titus 3:10-11
